Thoughts from Sister Ora V.
Cotton--Sometimes you may have a deep yearning or desire to do something,
and you really don't know just how to begin, but with a prayerful mind, and
continuality God simply opens a door and leads you through.
I give all thanks to God for my life up to this present time. Truly I
can say I am blessed. This doesn't mean that I've been free from
faults, failures and troubles, but through them all
God has been good to me.
I was saved at a early age, God blessed me to continue
until this day. The highlights of my life is marriage to Suffragan Bishop
Joshua L. Cotton the five children and 11 grandchildren we've been
blessed with. I just love being so affectionately called
"Precious" by my husband. And "Mom' by my children, and their
spouses. An last but not least, Ma Maw" and" Grandmother" by my
grandchildren.

At 64 plus of age, I'm thankful for feeling needed by all my children. To
God be the Glory.
My personality, as a child, was very tender and easy to cry, which I did
not like. I couldn't control my emotions, especially if someone did not
seem to care for me, or if they talked to me in a rough way. Those
experiences helped me, as an adult, to be sensitive to others. This I
find very essential with the Lord. I love people and associating with
them. This enriches my life.
My home has been a home for many young people that were away from home.
We have young men and women whose lives have been touched by our concern. It
has only been God that has given us opportunities to share the love that has
been given to us. It's rewarding to know you have helped somebody.
To God be the glory! *I Have Blessed Assurance" "It's my desire to
live for Jesus" because "Great is his faithfulness*.
